At Elderly Care we maintain a diverse roster of qualified caregivers to meet each client’s needs. Our caregivers are compassionate, reliable individuals who are dedicated to not only delivering the best in non-medical home care, but also developing strong relationships with our clients to ensure the highest level of trust and comfort. All Elderly Care caregivers are thoroughly screened and fully insured for your protection. In addition, our caregivers are regularly trained to enhance their skills and ensure our client’s safety, health, and wellness. We would not put anyone in your home or loved one’s home that we would not put in our own home.

Our comprehensive caregiver screening process includes the following steps:

  1. Application Review – Review each prospective caregiver’s application to assess qualifications, including education, employment history, and relevant skills and experience.
  2. Phone and In-Person Interviews – Assess verbal communication skills, cultural fit, professional appearance and presentation, experience, character, and personality traits.  All caregivers must demonstrate compassion and a history of reliability.
  3. Reference and Experience Verification – Check references, including former employers, clients, and colleagues to confirm prior employment history and experience as well as character.
  4. Specific Skills Assessment – Review comprehensive home care-specific skills assessment questionnaire along with candidate to assess skill set relative to current company and client needs.
  5. Background Check and Screenings – Criminal background check, Social Security validation, DMV checks, drug screenings, tuberculosis screening, and documented completion of state-required training certifications.
